Hirebotics and ESAB partnered to bring the ESAB Cobot Welder to market — a MIG welding cobot system designed to solve the skilled welder shortage in the most demanding fabrication environments. The partnership combines ESAB’s welding expertise with Hirebotics’ Beacon software platform and Universal Robots’ collaborative robot hardware.
The Cobot Welder is built for welders, not programmers. Using the Beacon app on a phone or tablet, operators choose weld types, move the cobot to start and end points, and begin welding — no complex programming required. The system is pre-mounted, pre-wired, and mobile, ready to weld within hours of setup.
The partnership was prominently featured at Automate 2023, where Dan Colvin, VP of Sales at ESAB, discussed how the collaboration is impacting the welding industry alongside Hirebotics CEO Rob Goldiez and Universal Robots Regional President Brian Bird.
