Hirebotics Becomes First UR Partner to Support Polyscope X

In 2024, Hirebotics became the first Universal Robots partner to support Polyscope X — UR’s latest robot software platform that redefines automation software, making it accessible and effective for a wider range of users and applications.

The integration means Beacon is now available across four platforms: iOS, Android, Web, and Polyscope X on the teach pendant. Fabricators can seamlessly manage their cobot welding and cutting operations from whichever device is most convenient — whether that’s a smartphone on the shop floor or the pendant mounted on the cobot itself.

Having pioneered ease-of-use in cobot welding with the innovative Beacon-teaching app, Hirebotics is one of the first UR partners to leverage UR’s new PolyScope X platform, implementing Beacon on the UR cobot’s teach pendant in addition to iOS, Android, and any web-based device. Welders can now get instant in-app support through the UR the teach pendant, watch instructional videos, and teach the cobot even complex welds in minutes. New advanced Hirebotics cobot welding features include Enhanced Stitch Welding; delivering the ability to stitch weld through complex paths and Fine Tune; allowing precise adjustments in torch angles and weld points, making it accessible for welders to optimize their work.

This milestone reflects Hirebotics’ position as Universal Robots’ top OEM partner and the close collaboration between the two companies in advancing collaborative automation for metal fabrication.
