Universal Robots will showcase new welding features from two of its premier OEM partners, Vectis and Hirebotics, at FABTECH 2024 in booth W4755.

Vectis will display some of its latest user-experience and ease-of-use cobot welding features including QuickTeach and AI Path Optimization. QuickTeach further simplifies the Vectis system by allowing the cobot operator to teach points and optimize paths right at the torch. AI Path Optimization enables operators of all skill levels to teach consistent, high-quality welds.

Hirebotics has developed new cobot welding features including enhanced stitch welding, delivering the ability to stitch weld through complex paths, reordering of stitch welds, and more. The company’s smartphone-based platform, Beacon, which allows users to teach cobots and remotely monitor and modify tasks, is now available on UR’s teach pendant. At the show, attendees will be able to teach the UR cobots through the device of their choice, be it iOS, Android, web, and UR’s teach pendant in the Polyscope interface.

The booth also will showcase cobot laser welding from Cobot Systems, the robotic machine tending system AutoTend from Mid Atlantic Machinery, and a new cobot demo from Cohesive Robotics.

Both the Vectis and Hirebotics cobot welding systems are built on Universal Robots’ UR10e and UR20 collaborative robot platforms.
